As a digital marketer, my life is tied directly to social media. I mean i make a living using social media everyday. And i’m going to show you the 5 best ways to start making money using social media.
Social media is the best tool that can skyrocket a business by getting more leads and sales. There is 2.5 billion people online and more are joining every single day, i mean do you see the potential here? You can make millions if you know how to reach the right customers. People are hoping on the trend and starting using social media to their favor, with nearly 43$ billion spent on social ads.
Let’s just dive in how to make money using all social media’s different platforms!
1- Start a SMMA :
You might wondering what the heck is a SMMA?
A social media marketing agency is a very popular business model. 52% of all online brand discovery still happens in public social feeds. If you master running ads on different social media platforms (ideally that one platform your competitors don’t use well), you can charge businesses and brands for managing ads and helping them get more exposure therefore more leads which means more sales.
If you are able to create an effective strategy, you’ll be able to win over those customers without having any competition.
2- Affiliate Marketing :
Affiliate marketing is promoting other people’s products for a commission (anywhere from 20% to 70$ per sale).
No matter what industry you’re into, you can find great products to promote using affiliate networks (Clickbank, Digistore24 or even becoming an Amazon Associate).

If you tend to create handmade crafts, art or even clothing and knitting, there is definitely an opportunity to showcase your products on social media. You can mainly use Instagram and Pinterest but Facebook and Twitter are not bad for you to share your crafts.
You can also create an Etsy account, to direct followers generated on your social media to check out your products here. You have the potential to make a good living using this method.

If you have a blog or a following, you might want to try creating you own product (ebook, audio program or video course) and to promote it and sell it to you audience or followers. Social media is the perfect place to promote such products.
If you don’t have some kind of audience, you can still make money using this method. Platforms Gumroad, Sellfy and Amazon’s KDP program make it easy for you to publish and sell your own product at a price of your choosing. All platforms take a cut, even if it’s small.
